The ranks of the Ordre national du Québec include 1150 Quebeckers and 72 non-Quebeckers for a grand total of 1222 members, 671 of whom are living and 552 deceased. The Ordre’s composition is 71 % men and 29 % women.
Composition by rank is as follows: 642 Knights, 390 Officers, 115 Grand Officers. Under certain circumstances, a member can achieve a higher rank.
The members of the Ordre are eminent individuals who have contributed to building a creative, innovative and solidary society in Québec.
