The ranks of the Ordre national du Québec include 790 Quebeckers and 51 non-Quebeckers for a grand total of 841 members, 580 of whom are living and 261 deceased. The Ordre’s composition is 74 % men and 26 % women.
Composition by rank is as follows: 473 Knights, 293 Officers, 96 Grand Officers. Under certain circumstances, a member can achieve a higher rank.
The members of the Ordre are eminent individuals who have contributed to building a creative, innovative and solidary society in Québec.
