Public call for nominations

Any citizen can nominate an individual for appointment to (or promotion within) the Ordre national du Québec.

Every year, usually in September (and October), a public call for nominations is published in Québec daily and weekly newspapers and on the Web.

Eligibility

Divided into three ranks, Grand Officer, Officer and Knight, the Ordre national du Québec is the highest honour bestowed by the Québec government. Its prestige is incomparable.

Eligibility for induction into the Ordre or promotion within it is open to anyone born or resident in Québec, apart from members of the National Assembly.

Nomination period

The calendar is generally as follows:

Publication of call for nominations: Mid-September
Deadline for receiving files: Mid-November

2017 call for nominations

The 2017 call for nominations ended on November 3, 2017.

Nomination form

Anyone who would like to make a nomination must complete the form provided for this purpose. This form is online only during the call for applications period, which runs from 11 September to 3 November 2017.
